Xiaomi Launches Mi 9 With 48Mp Camera, 20W Wireless Charging, 12Gb Ram And In-Screen Finger Print Reader


Xiaomi has launched the Mi 9 device in China, and the device features an impressive camera, display and RAM size.

The Mi 9 which the successor to the Mi 8 and Mi 8 Pro, features a 6.39-inch 1080p AMOLED display that houses a much smaller waterdrop notch.

Embedded within the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor with Adreno 640 GPU and as well a new faster NFC.

There's a 12MP telephoto lens and a 16MP ultra-wide camera that makes up the triple camera setupat the back of the photo. While at the front, there's a 20MP selfie snapper which has the same Sony sensor as the Honor View20, but there isn't an IR Face Unlock, and no headphone jack.


The Mi 9 comes with 3,300mAh battery power that supports up to 20W wireless charging, in-display fingerprint scanner, dual-frequency GPS. Depending on the version, there's a 6GB RAM, 8GB and 12GB of RAM (LPDDR4x).

For the inbuilt storage, all the standard versions have 128GB of internal storage while the Transparent Edition with faux internals comes with 256GB of inbuilt storage.

Xiaomi also launched a trimmed down version ... the Mi 9SE which specs a 5.99-inch AMOLED display, Snapdragon 712 processor, has the 48MP triple lens camera setup, and as well the same size as its bigger siblings.

Samsung yesterday launched its Galaxy S10 family of flagship devices, and as well gave us a look at what its first foldable phone will look like.

According to Samsung mobile press, the foldable device will open and close like a book as earlier shown by the tech giant before. There's screen on the outside that lets you to use the Galaxy Fold like a phone, and as well a larger screen on the inside that lets you to use the phone like a tablet.
The has a 4.6-inches Quad HD+ outer display 21:9 aspect ratio, while the inner display is a 7.3-inch QXGA+ screen.

To let users easily transit apps running on the outer screen to the inner one when they unfold the device, Google added a feature called App Continuity to aid in this aspect.


There's a 7nm, 64bit octa-core processor powering the Galaxy Fold which Samsung didn't reveal if it was its own Exynos line or Qualcomm's Snapdragon line. The device runs on a monster 12GB RAM, has 512GB of internal storage but doesn't have any microSD slot for those who want to  expand their memory.

Another thing on this device are the cameras. The Galaxy Fold has about six cameras on it: There's a selfie camera at the front when the device folds, three cameras at the back (ultra-wide, wide and telephoto), and two front facing cameras when the user unfolds the Galaxy device.

The Galaxy Fold is said to be one of the most expensive devices in the world, with the 4G LTE version starting at $1,980. For now, there's no word on the amount for the 5G version. However, the Galaxy Fold device should be available in retail stores by April 26.
