This sudden launch comes as a surprise to many since PUBG Mobile last week Friday, had a soft launch on Android in Canada and has take no time in expanding to other countries.

However, the sudden global roll shouldn't sound as a surprise since Fornite, another online multiplayer battel game was released earlier this month. Fortnite has recordered huge success within a short span, topping the charts in iTunes in 47 countries and so far players have spent more than a million dollars on in-app purchases, despite the game being available for now only on an invite basis.


 Canadian rapper Drake also contributed to Fornite's sudden growth when the rapper participated in a Twitch live-stream that broke streaming records. Though PUBG was the game that made the battle royale genre popular, Fornite is using that design to add to its exisiting xooperative survival game.

So what are the minimum requirements for PUBG to run on your Android or iOS device? Tencent recommends an iPhone 6 or above, and Android 5.1.1 with atleast 2GB RAM and also an internet connection.

PUBG Mobile runs oon Unreal Engine 4 and will support 100 players just as the PC version along with in-game voice chat to chat with friends. Tencent claims to have a powerful anti-cheating mechanisms.

Tencent owns Riot Games (the maker of League of Legends), has a controlling stake in Supercell (makers of Clash of Clans and other top games). They also have a 40 percent stake in Epic Games (maker of fortnite). WeChat and a host of others are owned by the company.

Fortnite & Pubg Rival, Apex Legends Coming To Android & Ios Soon

EA's new hit battle royale game Apex Legends has raked in over 25 million players just a week after its launch.

Apex Legends is a free to play game from Respawn Entertainment, the same studio that brought Titanfall franchise. The battle royale game is quickly becoming popular and even threatening top battle royale games like PUBG and Fortnite after it got over 10 million players in 72 hours.

The EA battle royale game is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and might be rolled out on mobile platforms to compete with Fortnite and PUBG.

"We are looking at how to take the game to mobile and cross-play over time, and i asked expect that this game will have tremendous value in Asia, and we;re in conversations about that," CEO of EA Games, Andrew Wilson, said during the Electronic Arts Q3 2019 earnings call.

Players in Apex Legends can earn in-game currency in which they can use to buy unique cosmetic items for their characters. Also, the game plans to introduce a direct purchase option in which players can use to buy cosmetics items and as well as new legends (heroes).



However, the items purchased by any player doesn't give that player an advancement over others in game play. Items purchased will be purely cosmetic or new heroes.

For now, all the monetization mechanics will be made available in Apex legends in the coming months on  Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and even mobile, if it its eventual;ly gets released.

Pubg Mobile Beta Now Available For Android, Lets You Try Unreleased Features

Tencent Games has released a Beta PUBG Mobile for Android users who love to try out new upcoming features before their official release.

Android Police, the Beta PUBG Mobile includes an Arcade Mode - War, a new faster version of the Arcade Mode. A new weapon - the SLR sniper rifle will be included. Another feature called the Portable Closet will be included too. This Portable Closet will allow users to change their clothes during a match. However, do note that the match do not pause when a player is about to change their clothes. You are to stay in a safe spot to avoid being taken out by another player.

This beta version doesn't support in-app purchases as there is no sign-in process for the users to save their progress since this is meant for testing purposes. While Beta PUBG Mobile is still in the test stage, Android users are also eagerly waiting for Fortnite, another battle royale that heavily competes with PUBG. Epic Calls Google ‘Irresponsible’ For Disclosing Serious Security Flaw In Fortnite

Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney has called Google "irresponsible" for disclosing a security bug in Fortnite's installer for Android.

Last week Friday, Google revealed a vulnerability in Fortnites installer for Android. The bug in the installer could be exploited by hackers to secretly install malware onto users phone and the public revelation of this flaw has angered Fortnite's CEO who is accusing Google of trying to "score cheap PR points" by making it known public.

Epic Games decided to skip the Google Play Store to distribute Fortnite so as to avoid paying Google's 30% in-game fee. This move by Epic Games pose a risk to Android users as they would be forced to enable their device to accept apps from "Unknown Source."


The bug report by Google said the installer had a vulnerability that other apps could exploit to install anything they wanted. Epic Games, however, was quick to create a patch of which after confirming, Google made it public via the public issue tracker.

The disclosure, however, provoked Sweeney who took to Twitter to protest the way Google handled the situation.

Android is an open platform. We released software for it. When Google identified a security flaw, we worked around the clock (literally) to fix it and release an update.

The only irresponsible thing here is Google’s rapid public release of technical details.

Sweeney's went on to say that Google did not give the patch enough time to spread but instead the tech company made it public in order to "score cheap PR points."

It's quite obvious that Google is upset that not having Fortnite on the Play Store will deprive it of the 30% cut of the in-app purchases. However, Google is not wrong in making the flaw known public.

Android is an open source and so it won't be normal for Google to hold bug reports even after a patch has been made available. Fortnite should know that thats how it works.... they can't just endanger Android users and expect Google to be mute. They should have considered this before skipping the Play Store.

New Fortnite Mobile V 5.40 Update Now Works On Htc, Essential Phone And Sony Xperia Devices.

Epic Games has released Fortnite version 5.40 for iOs, Android, PC, PS4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch.

According to the game maker, the new update comes with tons of improvements and features such as new outfits, Gataway limited time mode, a Grappler tool and more.

The new release also adds support for a host of Android devices from manufacturers such as Motorola, Sony, HTC and Essential. The Nintendo Switch version of Fortnite gets improvements related to anti-aliasing and frame rate.



Epic Games added some features to the Android version of Fortnite. Those features includes voice chat, ability to customize the player and team members health bar, VOIP and many other more. Find the new patch below.

• Expanded device support to the Essential-PH, Motorola, HTC, Sony Xperia devices.
• Major memory optimisation on Android devices with Adreno GPUs. This addresses the performance degradation seen due to memory pressure.

• Items on the ground now have tooltips.
• Custom HUD Layout Tool now has a more consistent apply/cancel flow.
• The player healthbar and squad healthbars are now moveable in the Custom HUD Layout tool.
• Dragging-and-dropping an item from the quickbar now drops the whole stack. To split a stack, drag-and-drop with the inventory window open.
• Dragging-and-dropping an item from the quickbar no longer stops consumable use.
• UI prompts now appear on vehicles for entering and switching seats.

Apart from the newly added support and features of version 5.40, the new release also fixed a critical controller issue on Fortnite.

The download size for this version 5.40 release for Android and iOS is 157MB, while PS4 is 1.24GB.
