Iphone 8 Battery Swelling Issue Reported In The Us

Another case of the iPhone 8 swelling battery appeared online last week, but this time in the US.

The Reddit user who is an employee of BestBuy, posted an image of the bulging iPhone 8 device said that his store had received the device and had to publish an image of it online. BestBuy is an American multinational consumer corporation headquartered in Richfield, Minneosota.

 Users of Apple's recently launched iPhone 8 series have been complaining of the phone's  battery swelling issue.

 Earlier, a Taiwanese woman complained that her iPhone 8 Plus battery got swollen while she plugged it to charged. The panic-stricken woman who claimed to use an original iPhone charger said she got scared with the taught of the iPhone exploding, and had to unplug it from the socket. Apple had her iPhone replaced for her.

 Another iPhone 8 user in Canada last week complained of he "bought and unboxed a new iPhone 8 Plus on Sunday, but was forced to return it by Monday after the display popped out." 

Cases of Apple related iPhone 8 battery issues have been recorded in China, Canada, Taiwan, US, Japan and Greece, though from the looks of things, the figures will keep rising.

Apple had previously assured of looking into the cause of the battery swelling issues occurring on the iPhone 8 device.

Here's what i said in my other post regarding this and hope it doesn't get worse, "Apple should investigate the cause of the swollen batteries and find a remedy to it before it escalate like that of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. And as you all know, the same people producing the iPhone 8 Plus battery were the same people that made batteries for the Samsung Galaxy Note7."

 iPhone users have shown mixed reactions towards a recently discovered iPhone search tool in the photos app that sorts out photos into categories. This tool sorts out pictures that reveals b00bs, cleavage, Bikini or bra into a folder when the user search for the word "Brassiere".

This iPhone feature which sent Twitters users crazy has actually been existing for more than a year now although many iPhone users never knew it existed until now.

 Medium explained that Apple made an update to the photo appp which enabled it to use image recognition algorithm to categorize pictures. The photo app supports 4,432 different scenes and objects and it uses 33 categories such as "Favourited", "Nearby", "Brassiere", "Girdle", "Corset", "Trips", "Weekend", "Last Year", "Recent Events" etc to label pictures.

 "Photos app will generate Memories that fall within the following 33 categories. Default name of the memory will be automatically generated using metadata from the photos and tags from analysis of photos", Medium said.


 However, news of the photo app folder began to spread fast as different women came online on Twitter to voice their individual experience with the search.

"Its true," Teigen said on Twitter. "If u type in 'brassiere' in the search of your iPhotos, it has a category of every b00bs or cleavage pic you've ever taken"

Over 300 Iphone X Devices Worth $370,000 Stolen From A Ups Truck

 Over 313 units of the new iPhone X were stolen when thieves broke into a UPS delivery truck parked outside an Apple Store in San Francisco and hijacked the devices.

 With a price tag of $1000 plus for the iPhone X, the stolen Apple devices are worth over $370,000 in value.

Local news reports that the incident occurred between 11:15a.m and 11:30a.m Wednesday morning. The thieves grabbed the shipment which was meant to deliver at an Apple store at the Stonetown Mall in San Francisco.

 According to the report, the UPS truck driver had parked outside the Stonestown Mall, locked it and then went into a nearby Macy to make a delivery when the thieves broke in and swept the truck clean of the Apple devices.

 The police doesn't agree that the incident wasn't a "stumble upon" robbery. They believe that the thieves knew exactly what they were after. "Given the dollar value in the incident itself it appears it was well planned," said SFPD Captain Rick Yick.

The SFPD captain said that the thieves trailed the truck and struck when they had the opportunity. The police captain said that a witness who observed the incident said that "three unidentified suspects wearing hooded shirts"used a white Dodge van in the heist.

 UPS and Apple are working with the police in regards to the heist. However, the stolen iPhone can be tracked using their IMEI serial numbers if people report suspicious sales.

 SFPD spokeswoman Grace Gatapandan adviced buyers to stay away from third-party sellers and always purchase items from stores.

"So i ask the guy about the iPhone 6 and he's like, 'Ah yeah, today, i will give it to you for $100.'

"He hands me an iPhone 6, i'm playing with it, turning it around, checking it.

"I ask him to call the phone and he showed me the number and i'm like, 'cool, it's legit. It's ringing. It's working. I want it.

"Right? Wrong. He turns around and puts the phone in the box with a piece of paper, he hands it to me, i hand him the money, i get into my car and the drive home."

However, the woman explained that when she got home, she was surprised to find out that the box was filled with 11 pieces of chopped potatoes.

"I sit at my kitchen table about to play with the phone....the box is heavy, and i get home, and this n****r sold me a box of potatoes!

"What the heck am i supposed to do with this?" the angry woman screamed on the video.

"Iam so hurt right now imma have to go to jail, imma go outside find these old n*****s. What am i supposed to do with - oh you almost made me cuss."

 Kuo went on to explain in the note that the increased production in the iPhone devices wasn't due to low demands as suggested by many, but due to improved production and high demands.

Kuo says that Q4 2017 shipments could be "10 - 20 percent higher than previously estimated." This means that the increased production of the device would cover up orders in Q4 2017, orders that were meant to be fulfilled in Q1 2018.

 Due to the sudden change in production, Kuo expects "flat/slightly lower" iPhone X shipments in Q1 2018 compared to Q4 2017.

Over 50 people were evacuated from an Apple store in Zurich on Tuesday when an overheated iPhone battery injured a repair man and filled the store with smoke.

According to the Zurich police, the incident occurred as the repairman tried removing the battery which overheated in the process, burning his hands slightly. Seven people received medical treatment as a result of the incident, though they were not hospitalized.

"At the same time, there was a slight build-up of smoke, which then led to around 50 customers and employees having to leave the business temporary,' a statement from the police read

Police say forensic specialists are still examining the cause of the incident.

Additionally, to sell iPhone X at a lower price may have a negative impact on shipments of the new 6.1" LCS iPhones 2H2018. China: A two-year-old boy has locked his mothers iPhone for an equivalent of 47 years after repeatedly putting the wrong passcode.

According to the South China Morning Post, the mother of the boy gave the toddler the phone to watch an educational video only to return and find that the phone has been disabled for 25 million minutes after repeated attempts of the wrong passcode.

Each time the wrong the passcode was pressed, the phone was disabled for a period of time. repeated wrong attempts accumulated disabled period to 25 million minutes.

A technician at an Apple store in Shanghai told the woman to either wait for 47 years for the phone to return to the normal state so that she can unlock it, or just wipe the device clean and then re-install the files back.


The technician said that there have been several cases of phones getting locked for an equivalent of over 80 years by the same method.

 This incident happened in January and the woman has said that she has waited for two months, but there sees no sign of the duduk kasus been rectified.

"I couldn't really wait for 47 years and tell my grandchild it was your father's mistake," the woman said.

Each time the wrong the passcode was pressed, the phone was disabled for a period of time. repeated wrong attempts accumulated disabled period to 25 million minutes.

A technician at an Apple store in Shanghai told the woman to either wait for 47 years for the phone to return to the normal state so that she can unlock it, or just wipe the device clean and then re-install the files back.


The technician said that there have been several cases of phones getting locked for an equivalent of over 80 years by the same method.

 This incident happened in January and the woman has said that she has waited for two months, but there sees no sign of the duduk kasus been rectified.

"I couldn't really wait for 47 years and tell my grandchild it was your father's mistake," the woman said.

Apple's built-in lockout feature was built for security reasons so as to keep bad actors from breaking into the device. The device becomes disabled for a period of time after six concurrent incorrect PIN attempts. However, the feature also give the user option to wipe the device's data and restore it after 10 incorrect attempts.
