After 4 Years Of Man Hunt, Google Maps Help Cops Arrest Notorious Masturbator

Queensland police, Australia, have arrested an alleged "serial masturbator" who have been constituting a nuisance to residents living around the Brisbane area for the past 4 years.

The 43-year-old man who is a resident of Eaton Hills, was arrested with the help of Google Maps. The man is said to have embarked on a "masturbating spree" between 2015 to 2019 and was seen wandering the streets of Brisbane as he performed the indecent act causing unease among residents.


According to Australian news outlet news.com.au, the man also performed the indecent act in other places. In fact, the man wandered one particular street in Windsor (which was maybe one of his favourite spot) so often within the past 4 years that in July 2017 Google Street View car even caught a glimpse of him.

However, despite numerous complaints from residents and other concerned citizens, the police were unable to get hold of the man for the past 4 years until just recent.

The Queensland police are appealing to the public for further information, considering the lengthy time frame which means there could be more other victims who haven't reported the case.

The police also released the photo of the man taken by Google Street View in Windsor street during one of his sprees, with the hopes that the mans outfit might make other victims recollect.

"It could be possible more offences have ocuured over the extended time frame ... what we're doing is appealing to the public to see if they notice the outfit and they might be able to piece together an incident," a Queensland police said. Adding that that "given the time frame, it would be understandable if there were more victims."

The man is said to be Caucasian, of proportional build, around 180 centimetres tall, and with brown hair and blue eyes.

The police have slammed 24 counts of indecent acts upon the man who is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrate Court on February 11.

Husband Divorces Wife After He Caught Her Cheating On Google Street Map

A Peruvian man has divorced his wife after he caught her cheating with another man on Google Street Map.

According to local news media, the man was searching on Google street Map for the best route to reach a popular bridge in Lima, the capital of Peru, when he stumbled upon a figure that looked familiar in one of the photos.

One thing that caught his attention was the womans clothe in which was putting on. When he zoomed close, he found out that the woman was actually his wife. The woman wore a white top, jeans and heals and was sitting on a bench while a male figure lay across her lap as she stroked his hair.

The angry man confronted his wife with the pictures and she admitted of having an affair with another man, and not being faithful to her husband.


One thing you have to note here is that these photos were taken by Google Street Map at Puento de los supiros de Barranco (called Beridge of Sighs of the ravine), back in 2013. However, the couples were already married then.

The man went onto Facebook and shared the photos with his followers, and these were some response he got;

"What a small world it is... It would have been enough if she said to her husband that she did not love him any more." one Facebook user said.

Another wrote: "Our of 100 women, 90 per cent are not loyal, the rest are loyal and only have one eye (hahaha) or are immortal (hahaha)."

Google Launches Street View In Kenya

Google on Monday announced its launch of Street View in Kenya. The launch adds the East African country to the list of other 45 countries around the world to have the Google service.

The Alphabet company made the announcement during an event aimed to "make Google work for everyone in #Kenya"

Google Street View service allows visitors to move around a any neighbourhood virtually through panoramic street-level images. The technology is featured in Google Maps and Google Earth that provides extensive views from various streets in the world.

The Street View will cover a few locations in the East African country. Locations which include Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, Nakuru, Nyeri and Malindi, covering about 9,500 kilometres.


The launch of this service in Kenya will enable people around the world to virtually explore the country via images of streets, cities and parks. The focus will be on main cities, roads and heavily visited places such as tourist destinations.

"Google Street View will bring Kenya to the world by enabling a global audience to virtually explore our cities, other urban centres and other places of interest and also bring the world to Kenya by whetting a user's appetite to physically visit a place of interest that they have experienced virtually," Kenya's Minister for Tourism and Wildlife Najib Balala said.

"By virtually or physically visiting Kenya's leading tourist attractions, we will inspire people around the world to gain a deeper appreciation for Kenya, its people, the natural landscape, and the wildlife that inhabits it so that they can visit and also support the preservation of this natural heritage," the minister added.

Launched in 2007 in the United States, the Google service has grown across several cities and rural areas worldwide. The Street View service shows stitched images which are taken by car, tricycle, trekker, boat, snowmobile and underwater apparatus.

Blue lines on Google Maps indicates that Street View imaginary is available on that section.

Google Maps Gets Messaging Feature To Communicate With Businesses

Last year, Google launched a feature that allow people to message business from Business Profiles on Google. Business messaging is a direct way for people to contact a store or restaurant to ask questions, or even place an order for a product or commodity.

This feature is being added to Google Maps.

The new update on Google Maps for Android and iOS comes with a "Message" button, along with an inbox view for your conversations with Business Profiles. Restaurants, shops and other businesses that have a Business Profile with Google will sport a "Message" button in their listing with the call shortcut.

"Sending messages to businesses gives you the opportunity to ask questions without having to make a phone call so that you can make order for your mom's birthday while on the bus or find out fi a shoe store has your size without having to wait on hold," Aditya Tendulkar, Product Manager at Google said in a blogpost.


The app comes with a simple messaging interface that includes the business icon and the name at th top of the screen. To help prevent users from mixing  personal communique with those sent to businesses, Google made a new Message section in the Maps navigation drawer for business conversations.

"Now you'll see your message with the businesses you connect with via Business Profiles within the Google Maps app, where you're already looking for things to do and places to go or shop. You'll find these messages in the side sajian of both Google Maps for android and iOS. With these message in Maps, you will never have to worry about about accidentally sending 'I love you, Mom' to that shoe store you've been sending messages to," the blog post read.

Additionally, Google is also rolling out a number of updates to its Google My Business app which is used by businesses to manage their online information as it appears in Google Search and Maps.

The Message button on Google Maps will appear for businesses that have the Google My Business app. Those that want to accept messages from customers will have to install the app and enable messages.

This new feature is being rolled out globally and not to select countries.
