According to KGI security analyst Ming Chi-Kuo, Apple's next-generation iPhone lineup will feature two merk new devices with edgeless display; one will have a 6.5-inch OLED display and the other will have a 6.1-inch LCD display. Meanwhile, the current iPhone X 5.8-inch display would be continued.

Kuo released another report, following up with his initial research so as to shade more light on Apple's strategy.

In the report, Kuo explained that if Apple were to reduce the current price of the iPhone X to $899, the move would negatively affect the sales of the mid-range iPhone with 6.1-inch with Face ID and an LCD display which he expects to be sold between $650 and $750 in the US.

"iPhone X would hurt production merk value & lineup of 2H18 new model if it continues to sell at a lower price after 2H18 new models launch. LoweringiPhone X's price after the 2H18 new models launch would be a negative to product merk value given 3D sensing and OLED display are features of the new light-price model. Additionally, to sell iPhone X at a lower price may have a negative impact on shipments of the new 6.1" LCS iPhones 2H2018. Thus, we estimate iPhone X will reach end-of-life (EOL) around the middle of 2018," the iPhone SE2 is also expected to be released this year in July.

Apple Users To Wait Longer For Iphone X As High Demand Exceeds Supply

 Apple users might have to waited longer than expected for the highly priced iPhone X due to high demands which exceeds Apple's current stock.

 The $1000 device which went on sale on Apple's website in the US on Friday at 12:01 a.m Pacific Time ahead of the device shipping next week, only lasted for 10 minutes as customers quickly exhausted the few units. Those who made orders after the 10 minutes were told that they would have to wait for about 5- 6 weeks before they could receive the device - a sign that explained everything in store had been sold.

 The "demand for Apple's new iPhone X exceeded initial supply within minutes of pre-orders opening on Friday for the hotly anticipated new device," The Financial Times wrote in its article regarding the excess demand over supply of the iPhone X.

Apple lovers in the UK too faced a similar wait and also reports said that pre-orders for the iPhone X in Hong Kong lasted less than 30 minutes as the device was completely sold out within that time.

The shortage of the iPhone X can be blamed on the low sales of the iPhone 8. Apple, trying to be on the safe side made available a few quantity of the iPhone X to see how the market responds.

 Although Android phone makers were killing physical buttons and making bezeless device, Apple wasn't sure how iPhone users felt about the iPhone X and so had to launch the iPhone X alongside the iPhone 8 so as to get Apple users attention -- a thing Apple never does. "We expect led times of four to six weeks for the month of November," said Gene Munster, Apple analyst and investor at Loup ventures. "We believe the iPhone X will reach global supply-demand equilibrium sometime in the March quarter, or three to four months after launch. Typically it takes time to reach equilibrium."

According to benchmark results from Tom's Guide, the iPhone X outperformed the Galaxy Note 9. However, it is worth you know that the phone used in this test is the Galaxy Note 9 that runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset (trimmed down version) and not the bigger one which is powered by Exynos 9810.

The Galaxy Note 9 benchmark score for Multicore in GeekBench 4 was 8,876, while the iPhone X still stood at an impressive 10,357 points, and the OnePlus 6 (8GB RAM) got a score of 9.088.

In 3DMark Slingshot Extreme 3.1, the Galaxy Note 9 got a score of 4,639, falling behind the iPhone X which scored 4,994. OnePlus, however, won this round with a score of 5,124 points.

Iphone X Explodes After Being Upgraded To Ios 12.1

An iPhone X user has been left in shock after his Apple device exploded when he upgraded his OS to iOS 12.1.

The iPhone X user, Rahel Mohammad, took to Twitter and reported the issue to Apple as he shared several images of the burnt device.

Mohammad said in the tweet that the phone got hot and exploded in the process of upgrading to iOS 12.1.

Speaking with Gadget 360, Mohammad explained that he bought the device this year in January and have been using it without issues. However, when he was running an OS upgrade to iOS 12.1, he plugged the Apple device to the Apple charger that came with it.

At a later stage, "dark grey smoke started coming from the phone," Mohammad said. "The update was completed and as soon as the phone turned on it started to smoke and caught fire."

Immediately, he unplugged the phone from the charger and attempted to pick it up, but the device was very hot and he was forced to toss it aside.

"When i held the phone it was very hot and i drop the phone immediately. Then it started to smoke," Mohammad told Gadget 360.


As earlier mentioned, Mohammad said that he was using the official charger that came out of the box with the device -- which is the 30 watt USB-C power adapter and lightning cable manufactured by Apple.

Pictures shared on Twitter by Mohammad shows the iPhone X with a scorched display and a shattered glass at the back.

A tweet from Apple's support division in response to Mohammad read: "That's definitely not expected behavior. DM us, so we can look into this with you."

Mohammad said he has sent the iPhone over to Apple for close inspection of the cause of the explosion.

There several things can make a device to explode. However, one of the major fault seems to arise as a result of a faulty battery as seen with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 device. Apple too have recorded several devices that have exploded in the past, however, since the launch of the iPhone X, its a rare occurrence to come across news of exploding iPhone X devices.

Apple Now Making 550,000 Iphone X Units Per Day

10 minutes for Apple lovers to exhausts millions of the iPhone X device that were in store. Those who later ordered for the device were told to wait between 4 - 6 weeks to receive the device.

Ever since the launch of the device, Apple has been working hard to increase production and shorten the delivery time. However, iPhone X lovers would be happy with the latest update.

 According to KGI's Ming-Chi Kuo new investor note, shipments of the iPhone X units per day have increased lying between 440,000 to 550,000. The increase is huge from the 50,00 to 100,000 units that were shipped per day within the last months.

 Kuo went on to explain in the note that the increased production in the iPhone devices wasn't due to low demands as suggested by many, but due to improved production and high demands.

Kuo says that Q4 2017 shipments could be "10 - 20 percent higher than previously estimated." This means that the increased production of the device would cover up orders in Q4 2017, orders that were meant to be fulfilled in Q1 2018.

 Due to the sudden change in production, Kuo expects "flat/slightly lower" iPhone X shipments in Q1 2018 compared to Q4 2017.

Samsung Sues Russian Ambassador $1.6 Million For Using An Iphone X

Samsung has sued one of its Russian merk ambassadors for allegedly using an iPhone X instead of a Samsung smartphone in public.

Ms Ksenia Sobchak, a journalist, politician and reality TV show host is Samsung's public merk ambassador in Russia. And she is expected to promote the product by using any of Samsung's smartphone alone as long as she remains the ambassador. Instead, she was caught on camera using Samsung's arch rivals product, an iPhone X!

According to a video shared by the Mirror, the 36-year-old can can be seen using an iPhone X which she tried hard to hide from the camera. At one point of the video, she is seen holding the phone but only the back visible. She then placed a piece of paper on the table  and then tried covering it while she operated the iPhone device. However, the paper didn't cover the angle as the phone was visible to the camera.


Well, Samsung didn't find it funny as they came down heavy on her and sued her for 108 million rubles (an equivalent of $1.6 million) for breaching the terms of the contract. Not only was she spotted using an iPhone X on screen, she was also spotted somewhere else in public also using the same Apple product.

This isn't the first time that a non-Apple merk ambassador has been caught using an iPhone instead of the supposed brand. Back then, Alicia Keys who was then the merk ambassador for BlackBerry was caught tweeting with an iPhone device. Adam levine and David Ferrer also had similar issues.

The latest slip-up to have happened involves Gal Gadot, who tweeted in favour of the Huawei Mate 10 Pro using an iPhone device. She later blamed it on staff.

Apple Fires Iphone X Engineer After Daughter Uploads Video Of The Unreleased Device On Youtube

 Apple has fired an engineer after his daughter made an iPhone X hands-on video and then uploaded it on Youtube.

 The video which went viral on YouTube did not only record the iPhone X alone but also recorded some part of the facility, a thing that is forbidden in the facility.

 According to Theverge, the YouTuber whose name is Brooke Amelia Peterson went to the tech giant Apple campus to visit her dad and also to access the iPhone X before its worldwide launch on November 3.

 In the process she decided to do a hand-on video on the iPhone X but then revealed a "special employee-only QR codes" and also codenames of unreleased Apple products.

 Although the other revelations made in the video were unintentionally done, Apple quickly sacked the girls dad when sites like 9to5Mac and others made the video go viral on YouTube.

 In another video uploaded on YouTube, Peterson can be seen crying as she explained that her father was fired as a result of the video she uploaded on YouTube. She said the video she uploaded was in violation of the companys rule to film the unreleased at Apple's campus.

Peterson has removed the video after Apple asked that it be brought down.

With the launch of Apple's set of iPhones, its been reviews, reviews and comparisons between top Android device and the Apple products.

The latest review comparing the iPhone XS Max camera with a host of other Android flagship devices seems to surface.

According to a test carried out by smartphone camera benchmark website DxOMark, the iPhone XS Max came second to Huawei's P20 Pro during an intensive camera test that touched various aspects such as texture, noise, zoom, flash, bokeh, and many other areas..

 The test carried out involved top premium devices such as; the Google Pixel 2, Xiaomi Mi8, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Plus, Apple iPhone X, HTC U12+, Huawei P20 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S9 and Apple's iPhone XS Max.

Apple's last year iPhone X came last on the list with a score of 97, while Google Pixel 2 came second to the last with a score of 98.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus and Xiaomi Mi 8 got the 5th position with a score of 99 each, while the Huawei P20 came 4th with a score of 102. Next on the list to get the 3rd position were Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and HTC U12+ who both got a score of 103.


Apple's biggest flagship of 2018, the first ever iPhone to spec a large display of 6.5-inch Super AMOLED came second to Huawei with a score of 105 while the Huawei P20 Pro got a whopping 109 in score. Making Huawei's triple rear camera as the best camera smart phone in the world when it comes to photography.

DxOMark website read:

"The Apple iPhone XS Max comes with one of the best mobile cameras we have ever tested, and in many areas offers noticeable improvements over last year's iPhone X. Both still video image quality in bright light are excellent, with a very wide dynamic range and good detail. Autofocus and image stabilization work swiftly and efficiently, and the caera is very reliable overall, consistently delivering good results."

However, the smartphone camera benchmark website, went on to add that; "In lower light, luminance noise becomes a little more intrusive than with other high-end phones, and the iPhone's zoom mode lags somewhat behind the competition (specifically, the Huawei P20 Pro) as well."

 Due to the low sales, Apple has decided to halve its production targets for Q1 2018 from 40 million units to 20 million units, the report claimed.

Apple was counting heavily on the sales during Q4 2017 which is usually good due to the holiday season. The flagship device didn't live up to expectation as were with previous launches.


The iPhone X is a device that has received good reviews from various analysts. However, the price is one of the main reasons for the poor sales. The most affordable version of the device is priced at $999 in the US market while in other markets around the world the device is way more expensive due to taxes and other sundries.

In the report, Nikkei also notes that the  inventory for the iPhone X is starting to rise after a period of shortages. ordering fewer units would Apple with as little stock as possible moving into Quarter 2 2018.
