Iphone Xs Series Has Already Out Shine The Iphone 8 Series In First Week Sales

Apple's latest set of iPhones, the iPhone XS and XS Max has already over taken its predecessors in market shares, Flurry Blog reports.

The report said that the new iPhone models have captured more shares of Apple customers more than last years set of iPhone 8 and 8 Plus just a week after launch. The report however, said that the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus models still remained the most popular Apple smartphone.

According to the analysis from Flurry blog, the iPhone XS and the XS Max, in terms of launch-week sales have beaten the iPhone 8 series. Thus, climbing up the rank of all Apple smartphones in terms of market share.

The market share analysis blog explained that the new set of iPhones gained 1.1% of Apple phablet customer share during the first week of release, while last year's set of iPhone 8 series got a 0.76% during the same time frame. This rise in sales is 45% over last years set of Apples iPhone release.

This analysis also showed that not alone did this year's set of iPhone XS line get an improvement in market share over last year's set of iPhone 8 series, the iPhone XS series has also gotten 7% more sales than last years set of iPhone release. That is inclusive of the iPhone X!

Despite the all these improvements from the iPhone XS series, the iPhone 7 still remained the market share leader with a 15.4% share of all Apple devices in use today. The iPhone 7 Plus is the closest with a share of 12.73%.

Flurry blog is predicting that the iPhone XS series will see more sales during the holiday season, and the release of the iPhone XR will even boost more further sales.

"While the XS and XS Max sale appear strong during their first week, we believe that the trens will continue over the holidays, further supported by the release of the XR," Flurry blog read.

Everyday More Complaints Keep Trailing The New Sets Of Iphones!!!

Apple's new set of iPhones are exactly what most iPhone lovers had hoped for after last years's launch of the iPhone X. As you all know, Apple always try to get things done in a unique way so as to come out top on the competition. The only perkara is that when they get it wrong, they also get the perkara uniquely wrong.

So many complaints have trailed the new sets of iPhones. Take for example the iPhone XS and XS Max, the most expensive set of iPhones ever built is said to be having weak WiFi and network signal strength.

Considering the price, Apple users were expecting more peace of mind from this piece of gadget.

A tear down of the new iPhone XS Max 256GB which is sold by Apple for $1,249 in the United States is said to be far worth less than the amount its been sold.

According to a research carried out by TechInsights, while estimating and looking into each cost part on the iPhone XS Max, the results sees Apple charging $1,249 for a device that the overall production costs just $443. That's almost three times the cost of production!

Though the selesai cost of production involves research, development and marketing, the hefty price tag can't still be justified.

The display on the iPhone XS Max, a 6.5-inch OLED panel which is the largest display ever used on an iPhone costs $80.50. The iPhone XS Max display is an upgrade from last years iPhone X 5.8-inch display which costs just $77.27. Now thats just a $3 difference despite the obvious difference between the two.

Another perkara associated with the new set of iPhones is the charging time when using wired charging...erm, even the wireless charger.

According to a break down by PhoneArena, charging from flat to full with the bundled charger takes about 3 hours 3 minutes on the iPhone XS, while the iPhone takes about 3 hours 29 minutes -- findings PhoneArena reviewer Daniel Petrov described as "borderline criminal."

Despite the heavy price of these devices, their charging speed still lag behind cheaper Android rivals from LG and OnePlus.

"With most android phones, I can plug in my phone, take a shower and know that i have enough battery to get me several more hours of battery life," Todd Haselton of CNBC said. "With the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, unless I use a bigger charger like the one included with the iPad, I don;t get the same experience."

Apple however, came out with a lame excuse for its decision to make a tiny charger. The Cupertino company said its reason for opting for a tiny charger was because her customers preferred it to larger ones due to its portable nature which makes it easy to be carried about.

Apple Sued For Hiding Notch In Iphone Xs And Xs Max Adverts

A Californian woman has filed a law suit against Apple, claiming she was tricked by the marketing images used by the Cupertino company to promote the iPhone Xs and Xs Max.

According to Business Insider, Courtney Davis, a resident of Northern District of California has dragged Apple to court for its deceptive marketing strategy of hiding the notch in advertisement displaying the iPhone Xs and Xs Max.

Images Apple used in promoting the iPhone Xs and Xs Max all have a dark background that obscures the notch, which many people believe Apple intentionally used it to hide the notch so as to boost sales.

The woman explained that she pre-ordered the iPhone Xs Max believing that it didn't have the notch, which is, based on the promotional images Apple used.

The lawsuit read, "Images that disguise the missing pixels on the Products' screens are prominent on Defendant's website, as well as in the advertisements of  retailers who sells the products."

Another complaint made by the woman is that Apple displayed false pixel count on its website that the pixels in the rounded corners should never have been counted.

The lawsuit asks Apple for compensation for damages and seeks a class action status.

Russian Man Buys Iphone Xs With Bath Tub Filled With Coins

There in the above picture is a group of young men and women, a bath tub full of coins, and one very, very unhappy store clerk. Yes, the picture says it all.

According to a post by Facebook user Ludmila Semushina, an Apple fan brought a bath tub filled with coins to an Apple store to purchase an iPhone XS.

The bath tub had approximately 100,000 Russian rubles, which amounts to more than $1,400 US dollars which is the price for the iPhone XS with 256 storage capacity.

From the picture, you can see two men sitting on a table. The one unveiling a package is the customer who just bought the iPhone XS, while the gloomy looking guy is the store clerk.

Oh, least i forget. I know you might be wondering who those bystanders taking pictures and videos of the event. Well, the bath tub was so heavy that it required as many much people to move it to the store.

We wonder how many days it took, or it will take the store clerk to count those coins. Congrats to the buyer on his new iPhone and for pulling such stunt.

Even Apple Doesn't Know What The R In The Iphone Xr Name Stands For

If you've been wondering what the "R" stands for in the iPhone XR name, then you are not the only one who's confused about Apple's new iPhone names because even Apple itself doesn't know what the "R" stands for.

Back in 2009 when Apple released the iPhone 3GS, the company said the 'S' in the 3GS stood for speed, which at that time the company described it as the fastest and most powerful iPhone ever made. Since then, the 'S' in iPhone titles have been understood to signify under-the-hood performance upgrades over a previous model. However, Apple's new set of iPhones doesn't have any meaning attached to the last letter after the 'X'.

According to Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing Phil Schiller, who spoke to Engadget, the letters in the new iPhones (iPhone XS, XS Max and XR) doesn't stand for anything. Though we all know that the 'X' stands for the number 10, the other letter attached means nothing.

Schiller went on to use cars to explain what the letters meant to him; " I love cars and things that go fast, and R and S are both letters used to denote sport cars that are likely extra special," Schiller said, referring to fast vehicles like Porsche which like attaching letters to its model. The mercedez Benz too is known to have both the R and S-class .

During the release of the iPhone 4S, at that time Apple explained that the 'S' stood for Siri. However, when the iPhone 5S and 5C were introduced in 2013, Apple had stopped giving meaning or explanation for the letters attached to the iPhones.

The iPhone 6S followed suite and there wasn't any meaning attached to what the 'S' meant. However, Apple gave the iPhone SE meaning attached to it. The company said the 'SE' alphabets meant Special Edition.

Sales Of Iphones Has Been Banned In China, But Qualcomm Is Still Pushing For More

The Fuzhou Immediate People's Court in China, on Monday banned the import and sales of select iPhones, following a lawsuit Qualcomm filed against Apple.

According to the law suite filled, the mobile chip manufacturer claimed Apple violated its patents, and the company demanded an injunctive relief over the misuse of its IP.

Due to the court ruling, Apple had to pull out her phones from iPhone 6s all the way to iPhone X, but didn't include the 2018 iPhone models that they are not affected by the ruling. However, the chipset maker thinks otherwise and now files for an injunction of the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR in China in its next court battle with Apple.

Following the ban on its products, Apple warned that the ban would hurt Chinese manufacturers like Foxconn, and at the same time renders 5 million of Chinese citizen jobless across its supply chain.

Qualcomm which is the biggest provider of mobile chips in the world, and it gets a portion of revenue from licensing its technologies to hundred of device makers. Now Qualcomm charges phone manufacturers based on the device's value rather than the component.

Qualcomm owns patents related to 3G and 4G phones. Thus, phone manufacturers that build 3G and 4G capable phones will have to pay a licensing fee to Qualcomm even if they don't use their chips. And that also applies to Apple who wants to pay for the chip and not the entire value of the phone.

Samsung's Foldable Phone Will Cost Twice As Iphone Xs Max And Galaxy Note 10

For years, we have patiently been waiting for the first foldable device .....until last year when things became more serious.

South Korean giant Samsung is the company leading in bendable technology, though last year another company beat it to be the first to launch a bendable device.

Well, the South Korean company doesn't seem to be in a rush to launch the device as it has taken its time in research and development so as to come out with a phone that will be appealing to everyone. That time to launch this foldable device is close as the tech company announced February 20 as the day.

While we wait for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy foldable device (Galaxy F or X?), a senior Samsung executive has confirmed to Korean media that the foldable device will be expensive...much expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Apple's iPhone XS Max.

According to Phone Arena, "the folder phone will be released at twice the price of a premium phone, so a strong user case is needed," the website quoted the senior Samsung official.

"That for Samsung seems to be the unique form factor that brings abilities like running three different apps at once, or unfurling in a tablet-sized media consumption machine when you need it for watching videos or browsing," Phone Arena said.

The Samsung Galaxy foldable device is expected to come with bunch of expensive technologies that aren't available on any device yet.

Another device that is expected to be expensive apart from the Galaxy foldable device is the Galaxy S10 that will be 5G capable.

Here Is The Reason Why This Crazy Apple Fan Threw His New Iphone Xs Max Over 30Ft

What would you do when you get your hands on any of the newly released iPhones? Well, some will take selfie pictures, others would take their time to admire the phones beauty while others might take the day off just to explore the device.

However, i don't think any of you in his or her right frame of mind will throw any of the new iPhones over 30ft after months of waiting for it!! well, not unless you are James Griffith, co-founder and CEO of Mous, a London-based start-up that makes unbreakable phone cases.

The London-based start-up is known for making tough phone cases, all thanks to Airoshock, a material specially deigned by Mous to offer phone the required protection needed.

The Mous team are known for pulling crazy stunts to demonstrate how durable the phone covers are. From hammering a nail onto a new screen protector or dropping their product from a helicopter, there's no limit to whatever test they can carry out.

The Mous team traveled to Sydney and camped outside the Apple store so as to be among the first to get the new iPhone and carry out a durability test on the phone covers. Shortly after purchasing the new Apple products, the mous team covered the Apple products with their casing and then performed some tests which included throwing the phone in the air, using them to hammer nails into a piece of wood.

All these tests performed were nothing compared to the test carried out in the Sydney Opera House. Griffith threw the case-clad iPhone down the 40 steps leading up to the opera house, a distance thats about 30 ft and the phone came out unscathed, all thanks to the well powerfully crafted case.

"Our cases only add 2.5mm to the phone's thickness, and to be protective they have to fit exactly; the fit has to accurate to 1/10th of a millimetre, or about the thickness of a human hair," The Standard quoted Mous co-founder and head of brand, Lucy Hutchinson.

Its pretty amazing how the Mous team manages to create the iPhone cases using guesses since Apple is well known for keeping new devices specs and everything surrounding it secret until launch day.

"We observer Apple's deign trends and rumours  obsessively. But at the end of the day we really won't know until the day of the launch," Griffith said.

"It's really nerve-wrecking. We've invented tens of thousands of dollars into building this machinery to build tens of thousands of phone cases, and until the day the new iPhones launch we can't be 100% sure whether they will fit."

Well, this battery power bank happens to be an Android device that runs on Android 9 Pie. The device is 18mm thick (that is more than twice thick as the iPhone XS) which instantly kills the idea of  you having to put it in any of your pockets.

The device is 153mm tall and 74.8mm wide, and is in no way light when you compare it to the regular smartphone.

This device comes with a 6.2-inch 2280x1080 display, has a triple camera setup at the back (as if to say the thickness alone isn't enough, the camera setup has a bump). The setup are a 12MP + 5MP + 2MP camera sensors. For the selfie camera, it has 16MP + 2MP pop-up camera (hence the name Pop was added to it).

As mentioned before, the phone has a crazy 18,000mAh battery capacity which can last for days on a single charge. Energizer says you can watch videos with it for two days, listen to 100 hours of music, talk on the phone for 90 hours and even charge other device via its USB type-C cable.

Energizer claims that the device can be charged from empty to full just within a span of two hours via its 18W charger.

The device is powered by a Mediatek Helio P70 8-core 2.0 GHz processor, supports dual SIM, has 6GB of RAM size, 128GB of internal memory and as well has a microSD for memory expansion that support up to 128GB.

However, for a phone like this. Most people buying it will come for it because it will be well suited for camping, and other out door activities that will take you more than a day to get to a power source. Unfortunately, this device isn't equipped for that. This device isn't a rugged phone, isn't water proof nor shookproof.

Energizer will sale the device for $682 (600 euros) when it releases it in June later this year.

Russia To Punish Facebook & Twitter If They Refuse To Localise Users' Database

Following Russia's attempt to create a separate Internet of her own, Russian Telecom watchdog Roskomnadzor has said that it will punish Twitter and Facebook if they refuse to relocate the database hosting Russian users to the country.

This move comes as Russia is planning to disconnect itself from the Internet as part of a planned experiment that is meant to gather insight and provide feedback that will aid her in creating a separate Internet that will stay independent in the events of foreign aggressors trying to shut her off from the Internet.

"The companies will either have to localise the databases within a certain period of time, which i suppose will be about nine months, or they will be punished," Xinhua news agency quoted Roskomnadzor head Alexander Zharov.

The Roskomnadzor boss expects Facebook and Twitter representatives to meet with Roskomnadzor officials in Moscow by the end of February to resolve the issue.

Russian legislation requires Internet service providers to store and process personal data of Russians on Russian soil. In fact, Roskomnadzor has the right to impose fine or even block those companies that are in violation of the law.

Russia plans to route 95% of the country's Internet traffic locally by 2020, in fact the country authorities even have a local backup of the Domain Name System (DNS) which have been tested twice in 2014 and 2018.

Last year, the Russian Telecom watchdog fined instant messaging service Telegram for its refusal to provide user data of Russian citizens. Telegram was later blocked from the country but instead, the block resulted in the disruption of services in the country.
