Ever since Apple borrowed the notch design, most Android device manufacturers have followed suite with the design (including Google, Motorola, Nokia, etc,). However, Samsung stuck to a trimmed down bezel in its devices instead of the notch design which didn't eliminate the bezel as intended.
Samsung is apparently working on a screen with an 'under the display' camera in a bid to completely kill off the bezels on her device. Well, we know Samsung other some other tech giant might break through with this technology in the future, but for now Samsung has gotten a way to increase screen room without resorting to a notched display.
Samsung has teased a mid-range smartphone called Galaxy A8s. The images released by the South Korean giant shows the device with no bezel but instead a display hole to house the front camera sensor.
According to Twitter tipster Ice Universe, the hole in the Galaxy A8s display will mostly likely house the camera and the proximity sensors as well. The position of the hole as per the renders could be either left, right or even in the centre of the top display.
Though there is excitement on what this device might look like, the Galaxy A8s might not be released this year but in the first half of 2019.
