Facebook And Instagram Worldwide Outage Yesterday Blamed On Server Bug



Yesterday, long hours of outage. Facebook has however, addressed the issue though it blames a bug in their server for the cause of the problem.

The social media giant yesterday acknowledged the issue on Twitter as users of the social network poured out series of complaints, making the hashtag #FacebookDown to demam isu on Twitter.

"We know some people are having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps. We're working to resolve the issue as soon as possible," Facebook said via its Twitter handle.

According to Downdetector, Facebook and Instagram downtime affected users all around the world with countries such as Israel, India, Japan, Malaysia, Venezuela, Argentina, and Japan suffering the most. In the US, places like Chicago, Boston, New York and Washington suffered it the more.

Earlier today a bug in our server caused some people to have trouble accessing our apps. The issue has since been resolved – we’re back to 100% for everyone – and we’re sorry for the inconvenience.

An update from Facebook's on Twitter today said the issue had been resolved, and that the services were back online a 100%.

"Earlier today, a bug in our server caused some people to have trouble accessing our apps. The issue has since been resolved - we're back to 100% for everyone - and we're sorry for the inconvenience," Facebook said.
