Whatsapp Is Working On A Preview Forward Feature

Private Reply feature, vacation mode and other features which are in a beta state undergoing test.

Now, the Facebook owned social messaging platform has another feature in the works which allow users of the platform preview forwards before sending them.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is testing a forward preview feature that pops before the user forwards it. The preview appears when a user wants to forward a message or media to two or more contacts. The user will have to preview whatever he or she is about to forward, and then decide its ok or worth forwarding it to other contacts.
Basically, Facebook wants to help curb the spread of fake news by making users preview whatever that they want to forward to other WhatsApp contacts. By previewing whatever that they want to forward, the will have that moment to retract their decision of forwarding the message, or maybe  decide the right audience since they have seen the preview.

The preview feature will pop when users of the messaging app wants to forward things like a text, image, GIF, video or any other content to multiple users.

WABetaInfo says the Preview feature will be available in the future. For now, the feature isn't available even on the latest version of WhatsApp beta.

However, the Reply Privately feature is available in the beta version of WhatsApp for those who wants to try it out. This feature allow users to privately reply a message in a group.

To make use of this feature, a user is to select the message that he or she wants to reply to and then tap on the three-dots on top of the chat and then choose "Reply Privately." The moment you tap Reply Privately, WhatsApp will automatically open the private chat with the contact.

The Reply Privately feature also allow users to reply old messages in a group where the Send messages feature has been set to only administrators.
