This Mirrorless 4K Camera Runs On Android And Support Canon Lenses


Chinese tech firm Yonnuo has announced a smart camera, a mirrorless camera running on the Android operating system.

PetaPixel notes that the smart camera comes with a 16MP Four Thirds sensor, capable of shooting 4K video at 30FPS. The device supports DSLR lenses, and as well, theres an 8MP selfie camera at the front.

Embedded within the device is a Qualcomm 8-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage capacity which can be expanded via microSD card.

The device will be running on Android 7.0 Nougat, will come with a 4,000mAh battery size, 5-inch 1080p multi-touch screen, a headphone jack, dual LED flashes, and a stereo mic.


One important aspect here is that the camera supports all Canon EF lenses which is a big plus. This will appeal to most photographers in the Canon ecosystem.

According to PetaPixel, the name of the camera device is 'YN450', however, Yongnuo is running a contest on its Facebook page to give it a classic name.

There are several advantages that comes when using this smart camera. Owners of this device can easily edit the photos right from their device without having to undergo the transfer process. Users won't have to worry much about their photos can be easily backed up to the cloud or even synchronized to another remote device. 

Those who are on social media sites like Facebook, Instagram etc. won't have to follow any cumbersome process as  their photos and can be shared right from the device that they used in taking the photos. The advantages are just much.  

For now, there's little or no information on pricing and availability of the product.
